tenuijulis was given to the nursery by the esteemed Professor Larry Smart at Cornell whom received it from Korean biofuel developers. This willow is native to central Asia.
As the name suggests it’s catkins are slender, about 1/4 inch in diameter and 1 inch long. It tops out at around 13 feet in it’s native habitat but is growing a bit taller in our area. It grows a plethora of long, straight rods that would be suitable for a variety of applications.
