Live Willow Stakes for Remote Spots
These stakes are meant to be planted in areas that won’t see much support. They’re a bit thicker and longer than standard cuttings to allow for more moisture retention and surface area for roots to succeed. Meant to be planted with a dibbler and mallet.
Willow stakes are perfect if you need to strengthen your stream banks, solidify a wet area, or start to re-wild an area. These stakes come from stands around our beaver pond and wet acreage. Until we can get them under a microscope we can only make guesses, albeit pretty good ones. We rely heavily on our petiolaris stands but will draw from others as well if needs-be.
