Myricoides ‘Bronze Beauty’ is an especially fetching native willow. New foliage emerges as a deep reddish, well, bronze! We believe this may be a hybrid of myricoides and fragilis. As you can see in the photos, Bronze Beauty’s leaves are very similar, but quite a bit larger than it’s potential parent. The world of willows is rife with mystery! The large leaves and general vigor might also make this suitable in pastures for smaller herbivores for browsing or simply shade.
